Position Overview:

As a Software Architect at Healthonauts, you will be instrumental in designing and shaping the architecture of our clients' digital health solutions. You will lead the technical direction of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will oversee the development and implementation of scalable, secure, and innovative software solutions that drive positive outcomes in healthcare delivery. This role requires a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to driving excellence in software architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of software architectures for digital health solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Define system components, interfaces, and integration points to support project objectives and long-term strategic goals.

  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, architects, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles to maintain consistency and quality across projects.

  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, product managers, UX/UI designers, and healthcare professionals to align technical solutions with business requirements and user needs. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure a cohesive approach to software development.

  4. Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software architecture. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to drive innovation and enhance the performance and capabilities of our digital health solutions.

  5. Risk Management: Identify technical risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.

  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure software deliverables meet quality standards, performance requirements, and regulatory compliance. Conduct code reviews, architectural reviews, and testing activities to validate functionality, usability, and adherence to industry standards.

  7. Mentorship and Development: Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Provide technical guidance, support, and feedback to help team members develop their skills and advance their careers in software architecture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in software architecture design and development, preferably in the healthcare or digital health industry.
  • Deep understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, and familiarity with relevant frameworks and technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, containerisation, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and tools.
  • Strategic advantages (and/or):
    • experience with GxP in pharmaceuticals and life sciences.
    • experience in healthcare data standards (FHIR/OpenEHR).
    • experience in laboratories, biomedical research (PhD).
