Position Overview:
As an Interoperability Engineer at Healthonauts, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless data exchange and integration across various digital health platforms and systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain interoperable solutions that enable secure and efficient sharing of healthcare information. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong technical expertise, a passion for healthcare innovation, and a commitment to driving interoperability standards in digital health.
Key Responsibilities:

Platform and Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of interoperable solutions to facilitate data exchange between healthcare systems.

Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards like HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR, OpenEHR, IHE, and DICOM.

Integration Implementation: Develop and implement integration solutions using middleware platforms, APIs, and other technologies.

Quality Assurance: Test and validate interoperability solutions to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Collaboration: Work with internal teams, external partners, and healthcare stakeholders to align on interoperability requirements.

Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and training materials for end-users and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in healthcare interoperability, data exchange, and integration projects within the digital health or healthcare technology industry.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR, OpenEHR, IHE, DICOM), integration technologies (SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML, JSON), middleware (Next-Gen Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Intersystems, Fire.ly, HapiFHIR, Cloud for Healthcare, EHRBase, et cetera), and healthcare IT systems.
- Experience with different programming languages, frameworks & libraries, databases. Deep knowledge of Java is preferred. Knowledge of cloud, devops and CI/CD are a pro.
- Experience with healthcare data standards compliance and certification processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in solution design, implementation, and quality assurance in healthcare interoperability projects.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, privacy, and security requirements related to data exchange and interoperability.
- Deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, processes, solutions, best practices, and regulations.
